    Procedure for the Custom Actinic Template Design Service:
    Here is some information on our custom Actinic template design service, which will hopefully answer the majority of your questions, but of course get in contact with us if you need anything expanding on or that may not be covered.

    a. Gather images from you that you already have and ideas as to what you want with possible references to other sites we have developed or third party sites, although we will not under any circumstances duplicate a site unless you have rights in that site and design.

    b. Develop an image representation for discussion and amendment.

    c. Upon acceptance develop an online demo using the Actinic software.

    d. Discuss and amend the online demo as requested.

    e. Confirm payment receipt and deliver the templates in a Theme package for import with instructions.

    Obviously a lot more goes into a project than this, but this will give you an idea of the procedures we operate within.
    Development cycles in a bit more detail for you:
    Standard 6 - 8 Week Cycle: In effect we have a number of template designs and integrations ongoing at any one time, average of about 7 -10 at once, which will have started at different dates and have different completion dates depending on the design required. By working on multiple designs at one time, we can spread the impact of design over a longer period, across a number of our Actinic developers which keeps the costs down for the end client, i.e. they are not paying for the total dedication of a single developers time, which could mean they are in effect solely paying for that developers wages, plus our costs etc. Our developers work on multiple projects, spreading the costs, thus keeping the end client fee down. We are established to work on a total of 10 designs at any one time within this cycle service.

    Fast-Track: With the fast-track service you are getting priority work conducted on your templates and a dedicated developer who is assigned to make the templates, conduct adjustments as requested by the client, in effect you are all but getting a developer who's sole main responsibility is to develop your templates, which requires an increase in the fee as stated. Whilst that developer has no outstanding work to do on your templates, then he/she gets on with in-house projects. With a Fast-Track you also get a dedicated client liaison who will keep your appraised, discuss your templates and any other details to enable the desired results and thus keep the template schedule on track.

    We currently only ever accept and operate 3 Fast-Track development cycles at one time, with Fast Track slot availability provided in one of the left hand panels of this site.
    Approximate Service Fees:
    Our normal development programme for Actinic templates is between £1,100 - £1,500 + VAT, but dependant on the extent of major developments within the Actinic system, could be more or less but always discussed with clients who require more prior to anything being conducted).
    We also offer a Fast-Track development cycle were we reduce the development cycle to 3-4 weeks, but with an increase in the development fee of another 100%. We must point out that the development cycle does not really begin until we have agreed on the image representation as being how you want the finished templates to look when converted for Actinic's use.

    Payments: For normal development programmes of 6 - 8 weeks does not require any payment for the template design element until you have accepted an online demonstration provided from within our servers, but you must have your Actinic license key (which shows your commitment to the site under Actinic operation), with payment then requested prior to delivery of the fully completed and demonstrated template design within our servers. However, for developments that exceed £1,000 (incl. VAT) which includes all Fast-Track developments regardless of total cost specified, does require a deposit of 40-60% of the project fee as agreed after acceptance of us conducting the integration.

    We must point out that the actual rate for the development of the templates is calculated once an agreed Image Representation has been agreed upon (or after seeing your code for an existing HTML design).
